What would you rate this book: 4 out of 5 stars
At the end of each chapter, there is so much suspense that it makes you want to read more. The book is so well written you cannot stop reading until you read it all. Natasha Preston does an excellent job reeling in the reader by the use of flashbacks, switching the point of view, and fully developing the characters in a realistic way, allowing the reader to become enveloped into their lost reality that they could not choose.
Summer Robinson lives the ups and downs of a teenager’s life, but before she is able to appreciate her annoying family and overprotective boyfriend Louis, her world is ripped away from her. She has to learn to master the role of Lily, the perfect “flower” Clover, whom her attacker, forces her to be along with three other girls (Rose, Poppy, and Violet) with similar stories that are never talked about. As OCD Clover yearns to keep his house spotless and his perfect family together forever, the girls develop and learn valuable lessons such as appreciation, friendship, and most of all, hope.
“He pulled a knife out of his pocket, Poppy and Rose flinched at the same time. “No please. Clover, I’m sorry. Please don’t,” she begged, holding her hands out in front of her. He shook his head, breathing heavily. His eyes were dark and cold, there was no emotion on his face other than rage...”
