What would you rate this book: 5 out of 5 Stars
I rated the book as five stars because the book shows the main character fight adversity and what he does to overcome it.
In “Basketball Junkie”, the main character, Chris, fights adversity from drugs and potentially could ruin his future. He has two children and one on the way and his adversity overcomplicates the situation. His fight and desire to become free from his addiction is eventful and unbelievable with the actions he commits in the book. Chris takes the reader through his struggle with many details making the reader understand his feeling at the time.
“I was on my way down. And I was willing to risk everything…”
I think a lot of athletes would like this book as a basketball player, like Chris, who made it to the highest level of competition but suffers from addiction. The way Chris overcomes his addiction and the steps he takes to overcome it is very inspiring and could open the eyes of many people. I think anyone who enjoys a well written book would enjoy the book.
